Promoting Sustainable Livelihoods for the Most Vulnerable

MFH is dedicated to fostering sustainable livelihoods for poor, landless and marginalized farmers and pastoralists in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Our approach integrates local knowledge with innovative, sustainable practices that empower these communities. We support grassroots initiatives such as organic farming, sustainable agroforestry, and eco-tourism, which not only provide economic opportunities but also protect fragile ecosystems. By offering targeted training and resources, we help marginalized farmers adopt sustainable practices that enhance their productivity while preserving environmental integrity. Additionally, we promote the formation of cooperatives and micro-enterprises to foster self-reliance and community solidarity. Collaborating with government bodies, financial institutions, NGOs, and other stakeholders, we advocate for policies that uplift vulnerable communities and incentivize sustainable practices, ensuring they have a voice in decision-making processes that affect their lives.
